"I wish to take this opportunity to share my testimony of the professional service we recieved with PROCare Physical Therapy.

In May  of this year my daughter, Kyleigh, had an accident which resulted in the breaking of both bones in her right arm. These injuries required surgery.  After she healed from surgery, Kyleigh was instructed, by her surgeon, to begin physical therapy.  We chose PROCare Physical Therapy, because of the great things we had heard about their treatment and trained staff.

 Kyleigh was very concerned about regaining full use of her arm and hand as she is working towards her Bachelors' degree in American Sign Launguage.  She knew that it was essential for her to gain the strength and mobility necessary to communicate as a deaf interpreter.

With the professional care she received over the next few months, she has been able to continue with her classes and has experienced no problems.

I know that without the personalized care and knowledge of therapist, Julie Tranchita, the outcome would not have been the same.

"I came into PROCare with neck pain.  I could not turn my head, lift my head off the pillow even hurt.  The staff at PROCare has been great in helping me relieve the pain.  The first day I came, the staff was friendly and called me by my first name everytime I came in, even the first time.

I had no idea what to expect.  After my first visit I felt some relief.  I was able to move a little bit.  It took a few visits before I had no pain but every time I left, I felt better and was on my way to recovery. Who knew that going down a water slide can hurt your neck so much.  I was given exercises to do at home and work that helped alot.  I also was given how to sit at my desk at work.  I work at least 10 hour days, no break and stare at four computer screens.  With the information that the staff at PROCare has given me for proper sitting and set up of your computer, my neck and back do not hurt after a long day on the job.  Now, after eight or so visits I am back to my old workout routine and doing everything I did before my accident.

"I am not good with change and was quite concerned when I found out my insurance no longer worked with my previous PT place.  However, from the first day, I was made to feel very comfortable by everyone that I came in contact with at your facility.  I was always greeted by name and in a very friendly manner.

Brian has always been very kind and helpful, and although I came in originally for my foot which had been in a boot for about 3 months he ended up helping me well beyond that.  I have not bent my right knee while walking for some time, but have now been doing so on a regular basis.  A choral group that my husband and I are chaperoning on a trip this summer was concerned about whether I could do the job.  The last time we were with them several of them commented about how much better I was able to get around.

"Before PT I was in a deterioration phase.  Pain in the neck, shoulder, arm - aling with a negative feeling about my overall health.  At 77, I tended to accept all of this as normal for an aging man.  I was "giving in" to it.  Through PT I realized I was giving up and needed a new outlook about my physical health.  So now I am determined to "get back out of the house" and make a real effort not to let the status quo continue, not to give into the dravity that leads to giving up.  Rather, I will make a real effort to get myself in better shape.  I have a lot of living to do.

"What a success story I was just a part of!  Eight weeks ago I hobbled in behind my walker, with the black-and-bluest right leg known to mankind.  With the quick recognition on Julie's part - that no real PT could be done immediately, the staff zeroed in on the problem with deep tissue treatment on my sore, swollen right leg.  After only 4 or 5 treatments, my leg was pink again and ready for rehab!

That's when Julie, assisted by Dan on a regular basis, went to work to help me reach the goal of perfect extension and 115 - 120 degree flexion.

I had my serious doubts because I was at 85 degrees or so and couldn't imagine getting beyond that number.

Because of the very friendly, courteous, professional caregivers at PROCare and the extraordinary equipment of all shapes and sizes available to me, I enjoyed the entire rehab process from beginning to end.

There were intangibles at PROCare that made my sessions more fun than work.  Laughter, smiles, reassuring glances, staff cohesiveness, a certain sense of belonging - all these things made my 24-session stay enjoyable.  I found myself eager to go to therapy - even though I knew it was going to hurt.
